Samia Islam, a student of Govt. Titumir College, recalls the moment her life changed forever when she was selected for the Shaker International Scholarship Programs (SISP). What began as financial support soon became a gateway to confidence, opportunity, and purpose.
Shortly after receiving the scholarship, Samia secured a full-time job—an opportunity that transformed not only her own life but also brought stability and hope to her family. The burden of financial uncertainty was replaced with motivation and belief in her own abilities.
As she grew professionally, Samia realized that SISP was more than a scholarship—it was a movement. New scholars joined, each carrying their own struggles and dreams, and each finding hope through the program. The impact extended beyond individuals, creating a chain of change across families and communities.
Many recipients, like Samia, went on to secure employment, support their families, and help younger siblings continue their education. Success was no longer personal—it became collective.
What truly sets SISP apart is its long-term vision. Dedicated scholars are not abandoned after one opportunity; instead, SISP continues to open doors through employment, development, and extended financial or family assistance.
Looking back, Samia describes her journey as a transformation—from uncertainty to independence, from fear to confidence, and from receiving help to inspiring others. SISP, she believes, is not just changing lives—it is shaping a better future for Bangladesh.
This is not the end of the journey. As more students rise, more dreams take shape, and more lives are uplifted, SISP continues to stand as a symbol of hope, opportunity, and possibility.
